Losing weight is one of the top 5 most popular resolutions in the new year. Achieving your body goals can seem intimidating, dreadful and unmotivating if you don’t see results right away. In the months to come, you may be doing everything right, but the stubborn fat just won’t budge. According to Healthline, fat cells can shrink in size when following an intense workout regimen as well as diet plan but they can not be eliminated. Here is where CoolSculpting comes into the picture. CoolSculpting at Images Med Spa is one of our most preferred body treatments that focuses on freezing those fat cells – and it is FDA approved! CoolSculpting makes spot reduction possible. Whether it’s reducing belly fat or tightening up your arms, CoolSculpting may just be what you have been looking for all along. Reach your body goals this year and still enjoy a lifestyle that includes the ultimate balance. Read on to learn more about CoolSculpting and how it can assist you in reaching your dream body!

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive treatment that reduces body fat and tightens up loose skin. CoolSculpting uses a fat-freezing process called cryolipolysis that works by freezing fat cells, killing and breaking them down in the process. The idea first came into play when scientists were looking into what happens to the body during frostbite. What they came to realize is that fat freezes faster and at a higher temperature than skin. Cryolipolysis protects your skin and tissue during the treatment while the fat is freezing off. CoolSculpting is a safe and effective service that will destroy up to 25% of fat cells.

If you can pinch it, you can sculpt it. CoolSculpting can be done in most areas but the fat freezing is most effective in the areas listed below.

  • Abdomen
  • Love Handles
  • Inner and Outer Legs
  • Back
  • Upper Arms
  • Double Chin
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Bra Bulge

The day of your treatment one of our specialized Aestheticians will get you prepped by placing gel applicators into the area of concern, and once you’re comfortable we will get your treatment started! Two paddles are placed in the designated area and between 35 minutes to 1 hour the paddles will increasingly get cold while suctioning and this is when 25% of the fat is freezing. This treatment does not hurt at most you will feel some pulling from the suctioning part of the treatment which may be uncomfortable for some. After you have completed your session, the Aesthetician will massage out the area to break down the frozen deep tissue. This will also allow your body to absorb the broken down fat cells.

After your treatment there is little to no recovery time so you can jump right back into your regular routine. Some may experience some minimal redness or soreness, but this should subside in just a few days or hours. Results are not instant, but as your body begins to flush out the fat cells, you will notice during a course of 2-3 months the treated area will appear thinner and sculpted. The number of sessions will vary based on your goals and the person but it is recommended to get at least a series of 6 treatments to achieve the best results.

If you’re past the age where your metabolism can no longer keep up the same way it did in your 20s, then results will require a balance of a healthy lifestyle. With the assistance of CoolSculpting sessions, eating healthy, and exercising regularly, we can guarantee that you will maintain those amazing results! The best part of CoolSculpting is the results are permanent, so those fat cells that were frozen off and flushed out won’t come back. Surgery is not for everyone and CoolSculpting is a fast, easy, and affordable alternative to reaching your dream body.
