What is PRFM?

PRFM, or “Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix,” is an advanced form of PRP, a cutting-edge regenerative treatment that is formulated naturally from the growth factors in your blood. PRFM has ten times more growth factors than PRP does, achieving superior, regenerative, and long-lasting effects. During treatment, a small amount of blood is taken from your arm and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, which are packed with growth factors. PRFM involves additional processing steps to create a spongy gel-like substance or “fibrin matrix.” PRFM allows for a sustained release of growth factors and enhances results.

What is the recovery period like after PRFM treatments?

After the PRFM facial treatment, you may experience some redness and swelling, but this typically subsides within a few hours. You may also notice some bruising, which is rare and usually disappears within a week.

What are some aftercare tips for PRFM treatments?

Recovery time for PRFM is minimal, and most people can return to their daily routine immediately after treatment. To allow your skin to recover fully, we recommend the following:

Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures
Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours
Your skincare routine should be gentle and non-irritating for the first few days
Do not use any exfoliating or abrasive products

When will I see the results after PRFM treatments?

You will start seeing results gradually as new collagen and elastin are produced. Shortly after treatment, expect to notice better skin texture and glow, but more visible results appear after about 8-12 weeks, getting better and better over the following months.

How much blood is drawn for a PRFM treatment?

Only a very small amount of blood is needed for PRFM treatments. We will remove 30-60ml of blood (about one to two ounces or 2-4 tablespoons).
