It’s no secret that the most important relationship you can have is with yourself. How you carry yourself on a daily basis will also embody your level of confidence and self esteem. But most importantly if you can’t show love to yourself and your body this can affect your self-esteem. Learning to accept yourself and your body for everything it does for you will change your view of yourself and level of gratitude. Focusing on making these changes can be a lot easier said than done. But with a few changes in your routine and mindset you can challenge yourself and those thoughts for the better.

TRAIN YOUR MIND TO THINK POSITIVE, INSTEAD OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

Our minds control all of our thoughts, actions and emotions. So learning to build habits that train your mind to think in a positive way will lead to both mental and physical changes. A few ways to implement these changes would be by: 

  1. Practicing Gratitude –  many of us practice gratitude in different ways. This could be through journaling, hobbies, meditation, walks and more. Making time for this will create a healthy balance towards a positive mindset while also allowing you to get to know yourself on a deeper level. Paying attention to your needs is key. 
  2. Establishing Routine – setting a weekly routine that revolves around healthy habits will impact self-talk. Life can get busy with work and maintaining a social life. But finding time in the week to go grocery shopping for healthy foods, working out, going on walks, and creating “me time” will make you feel better and bring noticeable physical results. 
  3. Staying Discipline – telling yourself you’re going to workout is one thing but actually making it to the gym and following through is what takes discipline. You don’t need to have motivation to be disciplined. Even if you’re not feeling so great about yourself now, sticking to that routine will only end with you feeling proud. 

Rely On Supportsometimes the hardest thing that holds us back is yourself. It’s ok to rely on support or assistance to help you get there.
